Foam density is not the same as firmness. While firmness refers to how soft or firm a cushion feels, density speaks to the foam's durability and performance over time. Higher density foam contains more material per cubic foot, meaning it better resists sagging and holds its shape longer. We offer three levels of foam density, each available in several firmness options:

1.8 density foam + crown insert. Available in Medium or Firm.

2.0 density foam + crown insert. Available in Soft, Medium, or Firm.

2.5 density (High-Resiliency) foam + crown insert. Available in Soft, Medium, or Firm.

The foam we use is known as CertiPUR-US, which is certified polyurethane foam that has been tested to meet strict standards for health, safety, and environmental friendliness. This certification means the foam is made without formaldehyde, heavy metals like lead and mercury, and certain phthalates. It also ensures low Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) emissions, which are important for indoor air quality, and it is made without ozone depleters or harmful flame retardants.

Fiber is the standard fill for seat wrap & back cushions and is our straightforward, durable option for a cleaner, more structured look. For seat cushions, the fiber comes as a smooth sheet that's fitted directly around the foam core, adding a touch of softness while keeping the shape crisp. For back cushions, the fill is an air-spun polyester designed to stay smooth and resist clumping over time. Both versions offer firmer support than our premium blends and require very little upkeep beyond an occasional fluff to keep the cushion looking even.

Trillium is our synthetic alternative to Feather & Down. It's made from a smooth, premium polyester fiber that closely mimics the weight and plush feel of natural down, without allergens or animal content. Each insert is encased in a channel-sewn cover that helps keep the fill evenly distributed, whether it's used as a seat wrap around a foam core or as a full back-pillow fill. Trillium offers a soft, cushioned sit and a relaxed look, but it does need regular fluffing and rotating to keep its shape.

Feathercloud combines premium cluster fiber with a blend of 5% down and 45% white goose feathers to create a fill that's soft, supportive, and comfortably lived-in. Encased in a channel-sewn cover, it helps keep the blend evenly distributed whether used as a seat wrap around a foam core or as a full back-pillow fill. Feathercloud has more loft and structure than Trillium, with a slightly firmer feel, yet it's still more refined than a standard fiber wrap. Regular fluffing and rotating will keep cushions looking full and balanced.

Our 10/90 Down blend pairs 10% goose down with 90% white goose feathers for a classic, lofty feel with noticeable structure. Each insert is encased in a down-proof, channel-sewn cover to help keep the fill in place, whether it's used around a foam core or as a full back-pillow fill. It offers more firmness and support than Trillium while still feeling plush and relaxed. Some feather migration is normal, even with the high-quality ticking we use. All feathers and down are prewashed to reduce dander. Regular fluffing and rotating will keep the cushion looking even and full.
